Facebook Game Review: Castle Age - Part XVI - Arena Season I

Arena is a new move introduced by Castle Age to stimulate more excitement and to give some strongest unit/weapon for collection and to strengthen your army.

I have been participating in the Arena Season I actively and glad to be awarded as the Legend winner, which is the Top 0 ~ 5% of the participant in the contest. I really loved the rewards from this arena and anticipating season II.

Some tips for this arena battling is you must make sure you have enough stamina and good stats to check and battle to maintain your arena rank everyday. Only battle those which is same or higher rank than you in order to maximize your stamina utilization because only same or higher rank opponent will yield you higher arena battle points as explained by the rule.

However, I would recommend you put some buffer battle points should they are stronger rival attacked and stolen your arena battle point while you go offline.

Facebook Game Review: Castle Age - Part XV - Master & Apprentice

While you are progressing well in Castle Age, you might considering yourself as a Master and hire new friend to be your apprentice and train them up to be your powerful allies in the future. You can train up to 3 apprentices as shown below.

Castle age will provide rewards for your effort in training up the apprentice by random awards. Below is a screen capturing the rewards i received while my apprentices progressed to higher level.

You might found this interesting to gain special reward from time to time while your apprentice continue their venture and progress to higher level continuously. Why not let yourself to be a master and train your apprentices now?

Facebook Game Review: Castle Age - Part XIV - Genesis, The Earth Elemental Loot Drops Collection

Another favorite monster on the slaying board currently is Genesis, The Earth Elemental because its loot drops are simply amazing and sit on the very high attack/defense rank position. It's simply one of the must slay monster in order to strengthen your army attack/defense dramatically.

For your information, Genesis Sword [+20atk, +30def] is the strongest weapon with combined attack/defense for duel/monster slaying purposes. This fantastic sword is simply a must have weapon in order to maintain a competitive position in this game.


Here is the complete compilation with picture showing the exact attack/defense of each loot drop from Genesis for easy reference! I simply love the loot drops from Genesis because it almost the top few highest attack/defense weapon in my list.

Another interesting fact about the loot drops from Genesis is it's the special items that could be equipped to Terra for better stats as shown below. While Terra is equipped with all the 3 bonus items, she will be having +3 defense, +1 energy & +1% Critical.

Facebook Game Review: Castle Age - Part XII - Elite Guard Strategy

Elite guard is very important to play this game effectively!

Firstly, it helps you to gain extra benefit in epic boss/team/world monster slaying. For example, the elite guard can help you to steal more gold, re-gain health point and do more damage. Below is an example of some of those benefits when you have equipped your elite guard team.

Secondly, it helps you to gain more bonus point while performing quest. However, i found this is not significant as the bonus point gained through the quest is really negligible.

To check whether you elite guard is full, you can point your mouse to Keep tab, and navigate to Elite guard tab, and you will see all of your elite guard players.

However, each elite guard expires upon 24 hour of joining your team. Hence, you need to repetitively advertise your elite guard through pressing the "Request friend to join" button or "Call to Arm" button while slaying monster in order to invite new player joining back the elite guard vacancy. One tip to take note here is remember to change the facebook advertising default setting from "only friends" to "everyone" in order to let every castle age player saw your advertisement and fill up your elite guard vacancy in a short period of time!

Alternately, you could change your approach by actively joining other published elite guard by answering their advertisement through the castle age Live Feed.

Facebook Game Review: Castle Age - Part XI - Skaar Deathrune Lesson

Castle Age is my favorite game on facebook currently because it never disappoints me on introducing new agenda with exciting monster/equipment progressively. It's one of the great ingredients that are making the player keeps on coming back and being an active player for this game.

One of the latest monsters being introduced is Skaar Deathrune.

Skaar Deathrune is having a different approach comparing to the conventional monster that required us to use energy to fortify our defensive wall for more damage. We need to dispel magic in order to destruct his forceshield that lessons the blow from our attack.

In order to justify the effectiveness of our attack when Skaar Deathrune forceshield is completely down, i have done a comparison as shown below.

When his forceshield is up, the damage done for one power attack is 23615

When his forceshield is completely down, the damage done for one power attack is 26789

Hence, we could gain extra 3174 damage for each power attack when his forceshield is completely down, which is extra 13% damage for this case! So it's worth for us to completely tear down his forceshield to achieve this extra damage!

A gentle reminder for all of us, remember to exchange your hero while you are dispelling magic instead of power attacking Skaar Deathrune because you need a attack booster for attack and defense booster for dispelling magic! My favorite hero for attacking is definitely Vanquish (Convert +20 Player Attack by -25 Player Defense) while my favourite hero for dispelling magic is Serra Silverlight (Convert +25 Player Defense by -25 Player Attack).

Facebook Game Review: Castle Age - Part X - Random Encounter

If you are a quest conqueror, you might have realized that a new element know as "Random Encounter" has been introduced while performing quest. If you are not performing quest anymore because you would prefer to spend your energy point in fortifying during the raid/monster battle, some random collection may inspired you to revisit the quest area if you are a collector.

An example that I'm going to show now is the random encounter I've got while performing one of the quest in the land of mist as shown below.

The random collection I've got is Shadow Warriors. However, the Attack/Defense of this unit is merely 7/6, simply for collection purpose instead of improving my army strength.
